The Wolf & The Grape

once upon a time in a concrete jungle,
there lived an hungry wolf named jingle.
having never tasted the tasty grape,
fell out of its own pack, trying to ape.

on the way, in an orchard so beautiful,
found a weird fruit & started to mull
whether it could be for him - The One,
and set about the job to be done.

for the weird fruit though, the wolf was just one in ten,
undecided though it was, gave everyone a token.
jingle realised, cheap & sour was the forbidden fruit,
rejoined its pack, thanking the dead man loving en route

One Day Patriot

the day has arrived for the urban youth
do you want to hear the inconvenient truth?
the other 364 days is alarmingly quiet
for this self proclaimed one day patriot

facebook is the new canvas
for the hero of our story
with all ingredients of a movie, mass
his attention span is only momentary

pic badges with the indian flag
songs & youtube videos to brag
vande mataram to Jai Hind in wide display
patriotism seems to be the fad of the day

Hero or Villain?

why one, why two
its the coming together of the generation
why go in the bus too?
i am on the fast track to my salvation

one is out, one is in
but you bet the alpha remains the same
talking in riddles, am I?
cant forget my midnight moon even when i am high

2 are out & I am in
had to play some psychic game for that
hero or villain, a line so thin
the climax is all that matters in this mortal kombat

Cul-De-Sac

a day, a tradition & the giving of thanks
turkeys galore, a blank & the fight for a few francs
its a repetition, this non-cooperation movement
the face on the mirror is that of Harvey Dent

cant come alone, need a leader & a pack
thankless job, piled up with people so smart
believe u me, we have reached a cul-de-sac
not far behind, the season of suits is yet to start
